PsyStandard and Blossom Announce Collaboration on European Psychedelic Practitioner Verification Framework

PsyStandard, a Pink Elephant Company, and Blossom announce a strategic collaboration to develop Europe’s first comprehensive practitioner verification framework for psychedelic care.

The partnership addresses a critical infrastructure gap: people seeking psychedelic care — whether through clinical therapy, retreat settings, or integration coaching — currently lack reliable methods to assess practitioner competence. While credentials verify legal qualifications, they do not capture psychedelic-specific training, safety protocols, or practical skills. This collaboration aims to establish transparent, evidence-based verification standards that go beyond credentials to assess demonstrable competence.

Partnership scope

Blossom will contribute psychedelic research intelligence spanning clinical trials, training programs, and regulatory frameworks across European jurisdictions. This data will inform the verification criteria, ensuring that standards reflect current evidence and the training landscape.

PsyStandard will integrate these standards into its European practitioner directory, making verification transparent and accessible. The framework will be co-designed with academic institutions and practitioner training organisations to ensure scientific rigour and practical applicability.

Institutional collaboration

Academic partners will co-design quality criteria, grounding standards in current research. Practitioner training organisations will validate criteria against real-world practice, ensuring standards reflect how practitioners are actually trained.
