The standard for
for psychedelic practice

We are building the field infrastructure that turns isolated excellence
into transparent, verifiable standards for psychedelic practice.

Built with the field

Co-designed with experts across research, harm reduction,
and clinical and non-clinical practice.

Why the standard matters

Excellent psychedelic practice is complex. It draws on ethics, competence, safety, setting, preparation, integration, legal awareness, and the ability to work responsibly with people in vulnerable moments.

PsyStandard turns that complexity into a living verification framework —
co-designed with academic institutions, harm reduction experts, and
practitioner communities, and tested in practice.

How it works

Two parts, one system. The standard defines good practice. Membership
is how practitioners meet it and uphold it

What good practice is measured against

The standard

An evidence-based, multi-layer assessment of demonstrated competence — from credentials to observed practice. Published in full, co-designed with the field.

Explore the standard

How practitioners meet it, and stay accountable

Through my work in mental health care, I’ve come to see how essential credible and recognisable standards are — particularly for start-ups in emerging fields. PsyStandard is uniquely placed to create that difference for all stakeholders and it is great to contribute to this.

The couple in the room More couples are seeking psychedelic support together, and they arrive through different doors. Some come after one partner’s individual journey shifted something between them. Beyond the drug: Lessons from therapists on what shapes outcomes in psychedelic-assisted therapy

FOREWORD Psychedelic research is often framed around a simple question: do these treatments work? Over the past decade, that question has generated an exciting body of research. But as psychedelic-assisted therapy moves closer to clinical implementation, I think another question is becoming just as important: what actually determines whether someone benefits? In my PhD research, […]

Honouring the Mystical: How to integrate entities and mystical-type experiences

Some of the most important experiences a client brings back are the ones no one taught their practitioner how to hold. A being that seemed to communicate, sense of having touched something sacred, the conviction that they briefly saw how everything connects. In almost every conversation we have about experiences like these, the same thing comes up: the person was left alone with the part that mattered most.
