Membership · with the field, for the field

A weekend workshop and a decade of practice look identical from the outside

A pan-European professional membership that gives practitioners a way to show their work has been verified — through structured supervision, peer circles, and a mark clients can check.

Why it exists

On paper, everyone looks the same

Anyone can call themselves a psychedelic practitioner. With no shared standard, the ones who take it seriously are hard to tell apart from the ones who don’t — for clients, and for the field itself. PsyStandard exists to change that: a way for practitioners to have their competence recognised.

How we do it

What does good practice look like when the science comes from one world and the medicine from another?

We don’t claim to have the answer, and we’re wary of anyone who does. What we’re building is the table. Membership brings practitioners from different trainings and backgrounds into the same conversation, so approaches can learn from and deepen one another. Our verification looks at demonstrated competence, not at whose tradition is “right”.

With the field, for the field.

Why they joined

In their own words

Founding cohort member

I’d spent years working largely on my own, without peers who understand the specific intersection of what I do. Intervision circles with practitioners across Europe who take both ethics and competence seriously felt like exactly what had been missing — and ethics as a floor rather than a ceiling. Being part of shaping that standard from the ground up, rather than receiving it later, was worth saying yes to immediately.

Founding cohort member

Developing protocols, training and supervision alongside my clinical work has always been part of my practice — something I’d done less of since moving from Germany to Brazil. The founding cohort felt like the moment to reconnect, and to stay part of how this is being built across Europe.

Now is the time to create standards for the field — for client safety, and to steer the whole field in the right direction.

The membership

A verification is only worth the practice behind it

Passing verification shows you meet the standard on the day. What keeps it meaningful is the practice around it — reflecting with peers, and learning from practitioners who have been in this work far longer. That is membership.

The heart of it

Structured supervision, across traditions

Supervised by practitioners from across traditions and cultures — people whose work you’re more likely to have read about than sat with. Membership puts them in the room with you.

Intervision circles

Peers who get it

A standing circle of practitioners who understand the specific work you do — regular, structured reflection with people who get it.

A mark clients can trust

Your verification badge

A badge for your own site and profiles, linking back to PsyStandard — a checkable signal you’ve been assessed against the standard.

Access to the field

In the room with them

Open sessions with the practitioners and researchers you usually only get to read about — direct questions, real conversation.

The founding cohort

With the field, for the field — not a slogan, but how we operate

The founding cohort are the practitioners shaping the membership into what the field actually needs. They’re proposing the formats, testing what works, and giving the feedback that decides what stays — building this alongside us rather than receiving it finished. The point is simple: a membership worth the practitioners’ time, because they built it to be.

Non-clinical and clinical practitioners alike — coaches, facilitators, integration specialists, therapists. If you take this work seriously, it’s for you.

Yes. Membership is voluntary — you can leave at any time. Your badge and public verification status would no longer apply once you leave.

Structured supervision with experienced practitioners across traditions — reflecting on cases, ethics, and competence in a supported setting, not a one-off check-in.
