This Cookie Policy explains how Pink Elephant, Unipessoal Lda, NIPC 519056582, operating PsyStandard, uses cookies and similar technologies on the PsyStandard website and related online services.
PsyStandard is a practitioner verification directory for psychedelic coaches, integration specialists, retreat facilitators and clinicians across Europe. This Cookie Policy should be read together with the PsyStandard Privacy Notice.

The controller responsible for the use of cookies and similar technologies on PsyStandard is:

PsyStandard has assessed that a Data Protection Officer is not required under Article 37 GDPR for the current processing. Privacy questions may be sent to [email protected].
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files or pieces of information placed on, or read from, a user’s browser or device when the user accesses a website. Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, scripts, pixels, device/browser signals, CDN/security technologies, embedded form technologies and other technical tools that store information on, or access information from, a user’s device.
Strictly necessary cookies may be used without prior consent where they are required for basic website operation, security or a service expressly requested by the user. Non-essential cookies or similar technologies, including analytics technologies that require consent, will be used only where the required consent has been obtained.
3. Current PsyStandard configuration
The PsyStandard website analytics are anonymised at the point of collection, and there is no cross-session tracking of individual website users, there are no advertising or third-party tracking scripts, and that session replay is disabled. PsyStandard therefore does not use cookies or similar technologies for behavioural advertising, retargeting, session replay, cross-site tracking, data-broker tracking or tracking individual users across sessions. If this configuration changes, PsyStandard will update this Cookie Policy and, where required, obtain consent before using any non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
4. Strictly necessary cookies and technologies
PsyStandard may use strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to make the website and verification services work. These technologies may support page delivery, website security, form submission, routing, load balancing, access control, fraud or abuse prevention, and remembering privacy choices.
These technologies are necessary to provide the website and related services requested by the user. They are not used for advertising or cross-session behavioural tracking.
Where strictly necessary technologies involve personal data, the applicable legal basis under the GDPR is generally Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests in providing a secure and functional website and service, or Article 6(1)(b) where the technology is necessary to provide a service requested by the user, such as submitting a practitioner application form.
5. Anonymous website analytics
PsyStandard uses anonymous website analytics to understand aggregate interaction with the public directory and to improve functionality and user experience.
The analytics are configured so that they are anonymised at the point of collection. PsyStandard does not use cross-session tracking of individual website users, advertising tracking scripts, third-party tracking scripts or session replay.
Because the analytics are anonymised at the point of collection, PsyStandard does not treat the resulting aggregate analytics as personal data under the GDPR. GDPR does not apply to information that is genuinely anonymous and cannot identify, link to or single out an individual. However, if the analytics technology used at any time stores information on, or accesses information from, a user’s device in a way that is not strictly necessary, PsyStandard will apply the relevant cookie consent rules before using that technology.
Anonymous aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely once no individual user can be identified, linked or singled out.
6. Typeform application forms
PsyStandard may use Typeform for practitioner application form collection. Where a user accesses a PsyStandard application form through Typeform, Typeform may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary to deliver, secure and operate the form.
Personal data submitted through Typeform is processed as described in the PsyStandard Privacy Notice. Typeform is recorded as a processor for form collection. PsyStandard does not use Typeform for advertising tracking.
If PsyStandard enables any non-essential Typeform analytics, tracking or marketing technologies under PsyStandard’s control, PsyStandard will update this Cookie Policy and obtain consent where required before using them.
7. Brevo email communications
PsyStandard may use Brevo for expression-of-interest and waitlist email communications. Brevo is an email platform processor for prospective practitioners who register interest.
This Cookie Policy does not record Brevo email tracking pixels, open tracking or click tracking as part of the current PsyStandard cookie configuration. If PsyStandard enables email tracking pixels, link tracking or similar non-essential tracking in email communications, PsyStandard will update its documentation and obtain consent where required before using those technologies.
8. Cloudflare routing, CDN and security services
PsyStandard may use Cloudflare for routing, CDN and security services where configured. These services may involve technical cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for security, routing, traffic management, service availability or protection against abuse.
Where such technologies are strictly necessary to provide a secure and functional website, they may be used without consent. They are not used by PsyStandard for advertising, retargeting or cross-session behavioural profiling.
9. Technologies PsyStandard does not use
PsyStandard does not use advertising cookies, behavioural advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, third-party advertising scripts, data-broker trackers, cross-session tracking of individual users, or session replay.
PsyStandard does not use website analytics to identify individual visitors, build visitor profiles, track users across sessions or infer sensitive information about individual visitors.
10. Cookie preferences and consent
Where PsyStandard uses non-essential cookies or similar technologies requiring consent, PsyStandard will provide a consent mechanism that allows the user to accept or refuse such technologies before they are used.
Where a cookie preference tool is used, PsyStandard may store the user’s preference so that the website can remember it. This preference storage is used to respect the user’s choice and is treated as necessary for managing cookie consent.
Users may change or withdraw cookie consent through the available cookie settings mechanism, where provided. Users may also manage cookies through their browser settings, although disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect website functionality.
11. Retention
Strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies are retained only for the period necessary to provide the relevant technical function.
Cookie preference records are retained for the period necessary to remember the user’s choice and demonstrate compliance.
Anonymous aggregate analytics may be retained indefinitely once no individual can be identified, linked or singled out.
If any future non-essential analytics or tracking technology processes personal or pseudonymous data before anonymisation, PsyStandard will define and disclose the applicable retention period before that technology is used.
12. Third-party access and international transfers
PsyStandard’s current processings occur within the EEA. Where providers act as processors, their processing is governed by data processing agreements or equivalent processor terms.
If PsyStandard introduces a cookie or similar technology provider that processes personal data outside the EEA, or if non-EEA support access or subprocessor processing occurs, PsyStandard will assess the transfer and implement an appropriate Chapter V GDPR safeguard before the processing takes place.
13. Changes to this Cookie Policy
PsyStandard may update this Cookie Policy from time to time.
PsyStandard will update this Cookie Policy before introducing materially different cookies or similar technologies, including advertising trackers, third-party tracking scripts, cross-session tracking, session replay, non-anonymous analytics, email tracking pixels, new analytics providers, or non-EEA processing involving personal data.
